A 2.5-liter four-cylinder boxer normally aspirated engine replaces the turbocharged one. It’s capable of 182 hp and 176 lb-ft of torque. But many will miss the turbocharged engine’s dynamic performance for city and highway driving. In terms of off-road capability, the 2023 Subaru Forester Turbo isn’t going to compete with the CR-V. Similar to the Honda CR-V and the Subaru Forester, the Volkswagen Tiguan has a lot of horsepowers. The exception here is the Nissan Rogue, which isn’t capable of off-roading.
