2024 Subaru Outback Redesign, Release Date, Model – The 2024 Subaru Outback has the potential to salvage a whole segment. Wagons, according to some, aren’t popular here. That’s not how Subaru sees it. Only 1.4 percent of the US automobile market is made up of body shapes, but 85 percent of that volume comes from one model, the Outback. Subaru has cracked the code on how to sell wagons by raising the suspension, adding body cladding, and marketing it as a pseudo-SUV. The Outback formula just keeps getting better.

However, the 2024 Subaru Outback exterior design is somewhat bland compared to other US crossovers. Although some may find this approach appealing, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. All but the Wilderness come standard with 17-inch wheels, which increase to 18 inches from the Limited and up, except for the Premium.
LED headlights and LED fog lights have been added to all models for the new year. Subaru may not be known for its exterior design, but it has worked hard on its interiors to make them more appealing in recent years. The result is superior quality and design, but not the same degree as Mazda. High-quality trim materials, like durable cloth and leather, are available in the 2024 Outback’s interior, which is well-appointed and comfortable. The brand’s loyal customers aren’t the only ones who can handle a variety of rigid materials.
Design and construction are on par with those of the best-in-class. Even tall adults will have a slight issue getting in and out of the Outback without significant difficulties. The Outback’s base model has a six-way manually adjustable driver’s seat and a four-way manually adjustable passenger’s seat. In contrast, the Limited and above models have ten-way power-adjustable driver’s seats with lumbar support and an eight-way power-adjustable front seat and passenger’s, respectively. 2024 Subaru Outback Engine
The 2024 Outback has been thoughtfully packaged to meet the needs of Subaru’s target market. The Outback is a modest performer, content to plod along on city streets and rutted trails in its most basic form in the vast outdoors. Although it’s only a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated Boxer four-cylinder engine, it has 182 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of torque.
This results in a car that feels sluggish and out of breath at highway speeds. A CVT transmission mimics an eight-speed automatic transmission and sends power to all four wheels. The transmission is lazy because of the 2.5-liter engine’s lack of low-end torque. The turbocharged 2.4-liter engine is the best option if you’re in a hurry.
The 260 hp and 277 lb-ft of torque from this engine stand unique. The 2.4-liter engine is your best choice if you plan to tow a trailer due to the stark power disparity between the two machines. When driving around town, the turbo engine is slowed down by the same sluggish CVT transmission, but it makes up for it in low-end torque.
2024 Subaru Outback Price and Release Date
As a result of last year’s strong sales, the Subaru Outback’s sticker price has remained almost unchanged for the 2024 model year. Only $150 has been added to the base model’s price, which is $26,945. This is the starting price for a Limited; the Premium goes for $28,955, and so on. The Touring example of the Subaru Outback commands $37,495. The base turbocharged trims offer excellent value at $35,145 for the Onyx Edition XT and $36,995 for the Wilderness.
